The Santa Barbara Highlands Condo complex is one of the largest complexes we have here in the Santa Barbara area.  Because of its size, it also sees a good amount of real estate sales each year simply due to this fact.  For many, this ends up being a wonderful first option to purchase real estate in Santa Barbara as the prices in the SB Highlands are also some of the most affordable options.

The condos were built in 2 different phases, one in 1970 and the other in 1972.  Their original use was for apartments to rent and then they were converted to condos to purchase in 1980. There are three different 1 bedroom options that range in size from:

  • Santa Cruz model (587 sqft.); Catalina model (668 sqft.); San Nicholas model (737 sqft.)

There are four different 2 bedroom options that range in size from:

  • Coronado model (1016 sqft.); Anacapa model (1038 sqft.); San Miguel model (1030 sqft.); Santa Rosa model (1078 sqft.)
The monthly HOA dues cover common area maintenance and landscaping, water/sewer, refuse, common area electricity and gas, and master insurance.  Prices vary on the unit and currently fall into $350-$405 range for the 1 bedroom units based on size and $405 to $470 for the 2 bedroom units based on size.
